Celebrating $10.4 Billion Socio-Economic Contribution Across Africa in 2024

Thu, Jun 26 2025

As part of the Coca-Cola system, Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages plays a key role in supporting over a million livelihoods and driving sustainable growth across Africa.

Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages (Pty) Ltd is proud to highlight its contribution as part of the wider Coca-Cola Africa system, which has generated $10.4 billion in value-added economic activity and supported over one million jobs across the continent in 2024.

This milestone comes from the recently released Africa-wide Socio-Economic Impact Assessment, commissioned by The Coca-Cola Company in partnership with economists from Steward Redqueen. The report was announced at the US-Africa Business Summit in Angola and illustrates how the Coca-Cola system continues to serve as a catalyst for inclusive economic development and sustainability across Africa.

In Southern Africa, Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages plays a vital role in this impact — empowering local communities through job creation, supplier development, and investment in sustainable practices that support long-term growth.

The study also emphasizes the system’s growing alignment with global sustainability goals, including efforts to reduce environmental footprints, promote circular packaging economies, and support water stewardship initiatives.

For Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages, being part of this larger movement means continuing to invest in innovation, community partnerships, and responsible business practices that create shared value — not just for consumers, but for society at large.
